1. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited, within the premises of college or institution and any part of campus as well as on public transport
2. Any individual or collective act or practice of ragging constitutes gross indiscipline and shall be dealt with under the Ragging Ordinance XV-C
3. Ragging for the purpose of this Ordinance ordinarily means any act conduct or practice by which dominant power or status of senior students is brought to bear on students freshly enrolled or students who are in any way considered junior or inferior by other students and includes individual or collective acts or practices which : 
   
   Involve physical assault or threat or use of physical force
   
   Violate the status, dignity and honor of women students
   
   Violate the status, dignity and honor of students belonging to the scheduled castes and tribes
   
   Expose students to ridicule and contempt and effect their self esteem
   
   Entail verbal abuse and aggression indecent gestures and obscene behavior
4. The Principal of a college, the Head of the Department or an Institution, the authorities of College shall take immediate action on any information of the occurrence of ragging.

Sexual harassment:

1. The sexual harassment in any form in the campus is prohibited as Sexual Harassment Ordinance XV-D.

Note :Violation of codes of conduct invites suspension followed by inquiry and if established leads to expulsion.


This is to bring to your notice that the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and Government of India have totally banned ragging in the educational institutions. Serious action will be taken against students found indulging in any act of ragging, as per the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
